Being a family or professional caregiver is a wonderfully supportive, loving and caring activity ... but it can make your life crazy! if you let it!
Caregiving impacts your Heart, Head, Health, Home, and Hands (Workplace).
The key focus for caregivers — after making sure the caree is safe — should be self-care.
Let's talk about how you can take care of you.

As a caregiver, Mike Collins experienced the same worry, fatigue, stress, and confusion you may be struggling with. He, too, wondered if his loved ones were getting the best care. His caregiving responsibilities affected his work.
In time, he discovered that taking care of himself was not selfish — it was just good, plain, common sense.
The caregiving experience affected Mike so deeply he pursued a master’s degree from Duke University with a focus on family caregiver wellness.
He began speaking about caregiving and self-care; wrote multiple articles and the books, Caregiver 101: 101 Ways to Keep Caregiving from Making You Crazy! and Caregiving Can Make Life Crazy!; and produced the video, Care for the Caregiver, winner of a Caregiver Friendly Award from Today’s Caregiver magazine.
Through his writing, presentations, and Caregiving Can Make Life Crazy™ Facebook page, Mike has provided practical tips and strategies to thousands of family and professional caregivers. He has helped them deal with the highly emotional caregiving experience — offering ways to become more positive, healthy, knowledgeable, and effective caregivers.

His uplifting and humorous seminars, webinars, and speaking engagements are consistently rated “Excellent.”
